Position Overview
Science Centre Singapore is dedicated to the promotion of interest, learning and creativity in science & technology through imaginative and enjoyable experiences, and to contribute to the nation's development of its human resource.
We are looking for a dynamic candidate to join us as Senior Director, Corporate Resources & Operations.
Essential Job Functions
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will provide the critical leadership for corporate resources (Business Development, Finance, Administration & Procurement, Operations, Marketing & Communications and Digital Synthesis).
Primarily, you will be involved in establishing and expanding businesses, sponsorships, and industrial partnerships, with sound and strategic management of corporate resources, including digital and IR4.0 assets, so as to advance our mission, through augmented revenues, enhanced reputation and global standing of the Science Centre Board and its subsidiaries.
You are required to design and implement operation excellence strategies, plans and procedures. You are expected to contribute to the New Science Centre development project including overseeing relevant tenders and procurement requirements as well as new business models.
The role is expected to execute the duties with sound and strategic management of corporate resources, so as to advance our mission, through augmented revenue, enhanced reputation and global standing of the Science Centre Board and its subsidiaries.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a tertiary education or equivalent with good business acumen, minimum 12 years of relevant experience in a leadership appointment from a related industry and possess the following experience, competencies and attributes.
- Business management and projects development (locally and overseas)
- Partnership management/ stewardship
- Marketing, fundraising and develop new sponsorship and business opportunities
- Staff development and customers management
- Setting up new business units
Those with good understanding of the power of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) will be preferred.
