Lab Technical Officer, Education Programmes

 

Position Overview

 

Science Centre Singapore is dedicated to the promotion of interest, learning and creativity in science & technology through imaginative and enjoyable experiences. Through these experiences, the Centre also contributes to the nation's development of its human resource.

 

We are looking for a dynamic candidate to take up the post of Lab Technical Officer, Education Programmes.

 

 

Essential Job Functions

 

The Lab Technical Officer, Education Programmes, supports the development and delivery of inclusive, impactful and unique learning experiences for students, teachers, public and families that will drive visitorship and generate revenue for Science Centre Singapore. 

You will be responsible for the daily maintenance of day-to-day laboratory activities, procurement, preparation of teaching materials, equipment and specimens and inventory control of lab resources. You will assist in the research and development of new informal science educational programmes and delivery of quality programmes to our audiences.

 

 

Requirements

 

Candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience, with good knowledge in Life Sciences and modern concepts in Science and Technology is preferred. Those will lab management skills will have an added advantage.

The candidate must possess good decision making and communication skills. In addition, he/she must be adaptable, detail-oriented and a team player.
