Science Centre Singapore received the 2015 ASPAC Creative Science Communication Award for its "Sex Cells: A Science Musical" in Manila, The Philippines.

2015 Outstanding Mentor Awards

Awarded by Science Mentorship Programme, Gifted Education Branch, Ministry of Education.

This award recognises outstanding mentors of student participants in the Science Mentorship Programme. In 2015, 4 staff members from Centre for Research and Applied Learning in Science (CRADLΣ), Science Centre Singapore, Dr Wulf Hofbauer, Mr Chen Shunfa, Mr Alex Teoh Chin Chye and Mr Goh Yingrui, received this award.

The Best Multi Channel Campaign – Bronze Award for the Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition

The Best Exhibition Event – Bronze Award for the Human Body Experience Exhibition

The Marketing Events Awards 2015 Singapore was produced by Marketing, a publication of Lighthouse Independent Media, to recognise excellence in event marketing in the Asia-Pacific region.

2015 Singapore Book of Records

Science Centre Singapore was in the Singapore Book of Records for:

• the largest Rube Goldberg Machine with 74 working stages by the Singapore Academy of Young Engineers and Scientists
• the most number of people wearing illuminated personalised T-shirts
• the largest Singapore map made from chromatography paper (measuring 16.2m by 8.4m)

Travelers’ Choice Awards are the highest honour given out by TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website. The award is based on reviews and opinions of the global travel community, with fewer than 1% of attractions in the world winning the award each year.

2013, 2012 & 2011 Winner of 3rd tier Meritorious Defence Partner Award (Awarded by MINDEF)

The Total Defence Awards (formerly known as the SAF Awards for Employers) was introduced by MINDEF in 1986 to recognise supportive employers and promote efforts to inspire other employers.

The awards, comprising the Minister for Defence Awards, Distinguished and Meritorious Defence Partner Awards are presented annually by the Minister for Defence.

2013 We Welcome Families Excellence Award 

2013 ASPAC Creative Science Communication Award & 2013 ASPAC Creative Science Exhibit Award

Science Centre Singapore received the 2013 ASPAC Creative Science Communication Award for its ArtChemist Show and the ASPAC Creative Science Exhibit Award for its Fire Tornado Exhibit.

The awards were presented at the 13th Annual Asia Pacific Network of Science & Technology Centres (ASPAC) Conference in South Korea. Nominations were evaluated according to their scientific accuracy, creativity and skill in delivery, and value to visitors and participants.

Singapore HEALTH Award (awarded by Health Promotion Board)

The Singapore HEALTH (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) Award recognises organisations with commendable Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) programmes that help employees lead healthy and vibrant lives.

2011 We Welcome Families Achiever Award – Business for Families Mark

Spearheaded by the Making Businesses Pro-Family Workgroup and supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the Pro-Family Business (PFB) Mark is awarded to businesses which meet specific standards relating to their strategy, service, infrastructure and business outcomes. 

The PFB Mark underscores the potential business value that can be derived from engaging families as customers.  The Singapore Productivity Association accredited Science Centre Singapore with the Businesses for Families Mark from 18 February 2013 to 17 February 2015. 

2011 Singapore Quality Class (Awarded by SPRING Singapore)

Launched in 1997, Singapore Quality Class (SQC) is the certification for the overall business excellence standard. Based on the internationally benchmarked business excellence framework, it covers seven categories: leadership, planning, information, people, processes, customers and results. 

2011 Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Award (Experienced Leadership in the Field)

Mr Clarence Sirisena, Assistant Chief Executive (Projects & Exhibitions), was awarded the 2011 Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Award for Experienced Leadership in the Field.

The Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Awards are presented annually to members and/or employees of the Association of Science-Technology Centres in recognition of their extraordinary accomplishments in visitor experience, business practice, and leadership in the field that not only enhance the performance of their own institutions but also significantly advance the mission of science-technology centres and museums.

2011 Best Educational Program – Sea Rex: Journey to a Prehistoric World Movie Program (Awarded by Giant Screen Cinema Association)

The Giant Screen Cinema Association Awards are given each year to recognise excellence in film-making and marketing in the giant screen cinema industry.

2011 Winner of Museum Roundtable Award for Best in Education and Outreach for CSI-The Experience Education Programmes (Awarded by National Heritage Board)

The Museum Roundtable Award was launched by the National Heritage Board to recognise outstanding museums and galleries in Singapore.

Launched in 2003, Singapore Service Class (S-Class) is the certification for the business excellence niche standard for service. The niche standard enables organisations to develop their service capabilities to enhance service leadership, service agility, customer delight and customer experience. Based on the business excellence framework, it covers 6 categories: leadership, planning, information, people, customer and results. 

2008 People Developer Certificate (Awarded by SPRING Singapore)

Launched in 1998, People Developer (PD) is the certification for the business excellence niche standard for people development.

Based on the business excellence framework, it covers 5 categories: leadership, planning, information, people and results.

2005 Top Ten Family Attractions for the Waterworks Exhibition (Awarded by the Singapore Tourism Board)

This award is given by the Singapore Tourism Board for the top ten attractions in Singapore.
