About The Singapore Academy of Young Engineers and Scientists (SAYES)

The Singapore Academy of Young Engineers and Scientists (SAYES) is an initiative for youth by youths with an interest and passion in science and technology. We believe in developing each and every member to its fullest potential.

As a member of SAYES, you will be able to:
  • Further your interest and develop your knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
  • Apply your knowledge and abilities for the benefit of your schools and the community.
  • Equip yourselves with professional skills for the current and future workplace.

What is SAYES?

It is an academy for youths, by youths with an interest in science and technology, where ideas grow into initiatives. This is a safe space for discussion and debate all about seeing science in a greater context.

Eligibility Criteria

You must be:

  • Between the ages of 15 to 30 years old
  • An alumnus from one of the following initiatives or competitions by Science Centre Singapore:
    • Young Scientist Badge Scheme
    • Questa club scheme
    • Youth Science Ambassadors Programme
    • Science-based competitions (such as National Robotics Competition, Drone Odyssey Challenge, Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition, Science Buskers Festival, Singapore Science and Engineering Fair, Sony Science Creative Award, International Science Drama Competition)
    • Science Centre Volunteer programme (minimum 50 hours completed)

How to join

Join us and be a part of SAYES in 3 easy steps:

  1. Click here to complete the online registration
  2. Short listed applicants will be invited for an interview after we have processed your application.
  3. After the interview, successful applicants will be informed of the onboarding details

*Successful applicants will have to pay an annual membership fee of $15
