Whistleblowing
SCS is committed to maintaining a high standard of integrity, discipline, and accountability. The whistleblowing framework provides a platform for individuals to report any observed improprieties that involve SCS’s employees and/or business partners, without fear of reprisal. All instances of whistleblowing will be independently reviewed and investigated by an Investigative Committee led by the Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Types of Improprieties
Possible improprieties include but are not limited to the following:
- Fraud or suspected fraud, thefts and dishonest acts
- Profiteering as a result of insider knowledge
- Accepting or giving bribes
- Misappropriation of funds
- Disclosure of confidential information to outside parties
- Failure to observe a legal obligation
- Miscarriage of justice
- Endangering the health or safety of persons or the environment
- Financial and non-financial administrative malpractice, e.g. not observing proper procedures for tendering
- Fraud or deliberate error in the preparation, evaluation, review, audit of financial accounts and records
- Academic or professional malpractice, e.g. violation of intellectual property rights or failure of integrity in research
- Improper conduct or unethical behaviour
- Participation in or condoning a reportable wrongdoing through wilful suppression or concealment of any information relating to a wrongdoing
Reporting Channel
Please email to scb.whistleblow@incorp.asia. To enable Science Centre Singapore to effectively investigate your concerns, the following information must be provided.
- Name(s) of the person(s)/company(ies) involved;
- Date, time and location of incident;
- Frequency of occurrence of the incident;
- Value of any money or assets involved;
- Physical evidence (if any);
- Any other information that may substantiate the concern.
Whistleblowers should report their concern(s) in good faith. All whistleblowers are required to identify themselves (provide name, email address and contact number) to facilitate the investigation.
The whistleblower’s identify and the concerns raised will be kept confidential unless as required by the law to reveal to parties such as lawyers, the police or investigators.
