Beyond the Stars: Science, Culture and the Cosmos 
In conjunction with Dot in Space by Science Centre Singapore

Join us for a special session to chat about human’s relationship with the stars. What do they mean to people across different parts of the world? And how have the human species been looking and learning from the night skies?  

Part of this year’s Dot in Space festival (10am – 6:30pm), enjoy complimentary movie screenings, live music, exhibitions and even a planetarium live show! 

Join us for a fun festival of learning through the stars, science and storytelling!

Free of charge and suitable for all ages. Please note no meals will be served for this edition of Café.

Dr Abel Yang
Dr Abel Yang is a Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore's Department of Physics, where he has established himself as a distinguished educator in higher education. With extensive experience in practical astronomy, he has mentored numerous students, helping them navigate their academic journey in this fascinating field.

Lim Meng Hwee
Lim Meng Hwee is a Senior Science Educator at Science Centre Singapore, where he channels his profound passion for public education into engaging and inspiring programmes. As a member of the Observatory, he conducts live planetarium shows during the popular Friday night stargazing sessions, bringing the wonders of the cosmos to life for visitors.
