Science Educator

KidsSTOP™

 

Position Overview

Science Centre Singapore is dedicated to the promotion of interest, learning and creativity in science & technology through imaginative and enjoyable experiences. Through these experiences, the Centre also contributes to the nation's development of its human resource.

 

We are looking for a dynamic candidate to take up the post of Science Educator, KidsSTOP™.

 

As a Science Educator at KidsSTOP™, you will inspire young minds through STEM programmes for pre-school and lower primary school children. Together with a team, you will design and conduct engaging activities that bring science concepts to life. You will also actively participate in community outreach programmes and contribute to the development of positive learning experiences beyond the classroom.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and fabricate innovative teaching resources and materials.
  • Conduct interactive engagements with young children and their families.
  • Ensure good classroom management.
  • Promote a safe and exciting learning environment that motivates children to participate actively in their educational journey.
  • Be involved in quality floor interactions and ground operations to ensure good guest experience.

 

Requirements

  • Good experience/knowledge in science or early childhood education
  • Preferably with at least 2 years of relevant working experience in hospitality, attractions, or education establishments 
  • Good written & spoken English.
  • Cheerful and outgoing disposition
  • An interest in science, with a passion for working with children.
  • Candidates with a background in drama or music will have an added advantage.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays when required.
