Technical Attendant, Special Projects and Travelling Exhibitions

 

Position Overview

 

Science Centre Board is looking for suitable individuals to fill the positions of Exhibition Attendant. These duties include (and are not restricted to):

• Open and close the current exhibition, as well as prepare the box office;
• Ensure that spaces are safe, clean and operational during opening hours for the public;
• Welcome visitors, validate their tickets and prepare groups for their entry into the experience;
• Manage queues and direct visitors on their journey;
• Welcome and accompany visitors to the installation of various technological equipment as well as give the
necessary explanations for the experience;
• Answer visitor questions and manage customer service;
• Clean and upkeep virtual reality equipment;
• Ensure the smooth running of the experience, support visitors in the event of technical problems;
• Responsible for on-site merchandise sales and purchases;
• Maintain upkeep of the store: cleaning, folding, product facing, etc.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly inventory of merchandise;
• Communicate any technical or operational problems to the technician(s) on site;
• Ensure that spaces are safe, clean and operational during opening hours for the public.

     

     

Requirements

 

The suitable individual should preferably be able to work up to 3 Months. Performing weekend duties (including public holidays) is mandatory.
