"I Am A Young Geneticist" workshop

Workshop Synopsis What is the secret behind the unique way each human body is built? Find out as we take on the role of geneticists to investigate the importance of genetics. Let us venture deep into our cells, starting from the nucleus and into our DNA. Students will be able to extract DNA and construct a chromosome + DNA model to bring home.
After completing the workshop, you will earn an "I am a Young Geneticist" physical badge and e-certificate!

Hands-on Activity: "I am a Young Entomologist"

Activity SynopsisBe a young entomologist at the Science Centre Singapore (SCS). Discover the many unique characteristics and adaptations of insects and learn about their life cycles.
Not forgetting to get close and personal with some creepy crawlies and even observe them under the microscope!
After completing the activities, you will earn the “I am a Young Entomologist” badge and e-certificate!

Important Notice

Participants are only required to purchase Science Centre Admission tickets if they intend to visit the exhibitions in addition to attending the workshop. For parents dropping off their children, a registration booth will be available at the entrance of the Science Centre. After the workshop concludes, our educators will send the children back to the registration booth area.

  1. Confirmation is on a first-come-first-served basis.
  2. Please note that there will be no refund of the program cost for any no-shows, cancellations, or wrong selections during registration. Science Centre Singapore reserves the right to deny admission to participants who do not meet the minimum age requirement.

  4. Science Centre has the right to change or cancel the programme. In the event that the programme is canceled, all registered participants will be informed 3 days prior to the date of the programme, and all charges will be refunded.
  5. Please inform us at least 3 working days in advance if you are unable to attend the programme.
  6. Please be informed that while we will ensure that necessary safety precautions are taken, Science Centre Singapore will not be liable for any accidents or damages incurred during the programme.
  7. Science Centre Singapore may take photographs or recordings of any visitor for any purpose, without prior approval or compensation. Please inform the organisers if you do not wish to be photographed during the event.
  8. In the case of inclement weather, no refunds will be offered.
