Objective

The objective of YEA is to create a platform for secondary school students:

  • To appreciate the link between science and engineering.
  • To self-discover and arouse their interest and curiosity in Science & Engineering.
  • To allow outstanding youths who have displayed a passion for STEM, in particular, Engineering, to be recognized.
  • To spot talents in engineering and attract them to join engineering courses at Singapore Polytechnic (SP).

YEA Certification

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Science Centre Singapore and Singapore Polytechnic in 2016 and renewed in 2019, to incorporate YEA certification into the STEM Inc Applied Learning Programme (ALP).

There are currently two levels of awards: YEA (Applied Learning) and YEA (Achievement). Click here for more information.
